Kuka Motor maintenance
Common faults and maintenance methods
Motor does not rotate: check the power supply and connection to ensure that the power connection of the servo motor is normal and the power supply voltage is stable; Check the connection between the motor and the controller to ensure that the connection is reliable.
Unstable speed: Check whether the encoder is damaged or loose, and make necessary adjustments and repairs; If the problem persists, the controller or driver may be faulty. You need to check and repair the controller or driver, or replace the faulty component.
High power consumption and noise: check whether the drive device is stuck, whether the servo motor code line is connected correctly, whether the servo motor brake is faulty, and modify or replace the parameters of the servo drive.
Motor jitter: Adjust control parameters, servo parameters PID and mechanical stiffness, vibration suppression.
Motor overheating: Check whether the bearing assembly is too tight, whether there is a problem with the shape and position tolerance of the parts, whether the bearing lubrication is poor, whether the coupling between the motor and the load is not corrected or whether the belt is too tight, and take corresponding maintenance measures, such as reassembly or replacement of new bearings, cleaning and maintenance of bearings and replacing lubricating oil, recalibrating and adjusting the belt tension.
